About the Extension
Gemini Limit Watcher shows how much of the current 5-hour window and weekly Google Gemini limit has already been used. The extension supports the Gemini plans displayed as Free, Plus, Pro, and Ultra.
Features
Automatic Limit Switching
The toolbar display can alternate automatically between the 5-hour window and weekly limit.
Popup and Sidebar
The popup and browser sidebar show both progress bars, reset times, the detected plan, and live countdowns.
Optional Overlay
A movable and resizable overlay can display the current limits directly inside the Gemini chat.
Flexible Refresh
Refresh values manually, at a selected interval, or after completed Gemini responses.
Reliable Fallbacks
Manual CSS selectors can be configured as an additional fallback when the page structure changes.
Localized Interface
The user interface is available in German and English.
Broad Compatibility
The extension is designed for current desktop browsers and compatible Chromium-based browsers.
How it works
For automatic refreshes, the extension loads the official gemini.google.com/usage page in a managed, inactive browser tab. The helper tab is closed automatically after the data has been processed successfully.
The extension preferably evaluates the usage data from Gemini's network response. If that data is unavailable, it reads the values displayed on the Usage page as a fallback.
All retrieved values and settings are stored exclusively and locally in the browser. The extension does not transmit usage data to external services. The Google account must be signed in within the browser.

Privacy
Gemini Limit Watcher does not collect, sell, or transmit personal data to the developer or external services. The extension reads the usage information displayed for the signed-in Gemini account and stores the resulting values and settings locally in the browser.
No analytics, advertising trackers, or external telemetry services are included.
